JOB PURPOSE As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. You will oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, complying with company policy, quality and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Identify and report any unsafe work behaviors/ practices, hazards and incidents immediately. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and ensure compliance of all Sandvik policies, SOPs, safety, and environmental practices. Set example and ensure compliance of team use of correct tools and materials safely in executing operational processes and inspections e.g. MHE. Desirable English Proficiency: Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2/ Completed EF level 9). Must be able to read and interpret customer orders, procedures and policies. Ability to effectively communicate to managers, supervisors, team leads and other employees to address customer or warehouse issues. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Proven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectives. Strong attention to detail, extremely well-organized and are highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Proactive and results-oriented demeanor. Strong customer focus, to provide a superior customer service to both internal and external customers. Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations. Knowledge of asset management procedures, and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates. Environment, Health and Safety champion. Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and follow-through skills. Availability to travel, as needed. Lifting up to 50lbs. Standing for long periods of time (8+ hours a day). 1-2 years experience. TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL Experience in Warehousing/ Distribution/ Supply Chain environment. A valid forklift or reach truck license. BEHAVIOURAL Show commitment. Possess excellent communication skills. Conveys meanings and intentions well. Shows initiative. ASSESSED RATING DESCRIPTION (L) Limited or no use of competency required for the job. Have the fundamental knowledge but require an increase in skills. (B) Basic understanding and enough knowledge to complete routine tasks. Have the basic knowledge and proven basic skills. (P) Proficient : Requires minimal guidance or supervision. Have the proficient knowledge and have proven proficient skills. (A) Advanced: Highly developed knowledge, understanding and application of the competency. Have advanced knowledge and have proven advanced skills. (E) Expert: Recognized by others as an expert in the competency. Have expert knowledge and have proven expert skills. Can transfer and apply advanced knowledge and advanced skills.
